| Candu |
A turtle named Candu climbed a TALL white mountain
and placed a green flag on its ground. Then Candu
returned to his home, the seaside, where he invited other
turtles to climb the mountain and see the wonderful view
alongside the flag. But none of the turtles wanted to go
to the mountain. "Then I will bring the mountain to you,"
yelled Candu.
One turtle said, "Ask the mountain if it knows any
shortcuts back to the seaside," as the other turtles
laughed.
Candu was a determined turtle and climbed back up the
tall white mountain. He picked up the flag and tossed it
down the mountain's side where it hit a pebble, which hit
another pebble, which hit a rock, which hit other rocks, until
the whole mountain came down and headed straight for the
seaside.
The turtles quickly stuck their heads into their shells as the
rocks harmlessly bounced off their covers. After a few
frightening minutes, one by one the turtles stuck their heads
out of their shells and were amazed to see a tall white
mountain on the sand.
And looking up, they saw Candu standing on top of the
mountain with the green flag once more placed on the ground.
Candu chuckled at the turtles as he said...
"Never underestimate someone's ability to obtain their goal."
