| What If.... |
Most people don't realize how many people it takes for one person
to succeed and the sacrifices that have to be made. Without the
encouragement of my parents and my husband, I would have quit.
My husband knew how tired I'd be when I got home from work, so
he made me dinner. I never would have won a gold medal without
my family- they're the ones who made the sacrifices, I'm the one
who gets all the glory. I wasn't the only one who won that medal.
My family deserved it too.
Although not everyone's going to win a gold medal at the Olympics,
everyone can set personal goals. Striving to reach the goals is
an achievement in itself. Satisfaction comes from knowing you've
given it your best shot. When you've done everything you know
how to do and don't make it, you can still feel successful.
Then you'll never have to look back and say, "If I had only
tried." Who wants to live life remembering and regretting a lot
of "What ifs"?
